After work I walked along Broadway to explore some bookstores. My main goal was to go to Strand which is a Greenwich Village attraction with (as you can see) 18 miles of books. Along the way, though, I stopped in at Shakespeare and Co. I found myself happier there. It had a tenth as many people, and it was cozier. I like Strand, but the people who work there are not very friendly. They seemed stressed out and like they just want to get through the line of customers. It’s actually kind of how we operate at Think, so I understand that sentiment. So many bookstores to explore in the city, so little time.

I know I’ve already posted a picture of the buildings across from me. And I’ve previously gushed about fall. But I was in awe of the contrast of this yellow tree and the red brick. What was more amazing was that only three or four days later, this tree didn’t have any leaves.

I walked by these pretty flowers in front of a brownstone on my way home from work. It’s hard to believe it is November here. It’s still so nice out!

I felt pretty down today. Sad that it is taking longer than planned to find a good job, missing my friends and family. So Travis and I walked to the West Side via Central Park. The fall colors and fresh air did me a lot of good.

I walk by this on my way to work. What’s even better is when I leave work it’s all lit up, all up and down Broadway are large, electric snowflakes. But, it’s not even THANKSGIVING! I love Christmas, but we have to do something people. It’s taking over more and more of our year.

I went to what I thought was a job interview in the Columbus Circle area. It was actually a staffing agency. They seem nice, but the only job they could find me was doing data entry into Excel spreadsheets in the far reaches of Brooklyn for low pay. Yeesh. I’ll pass.

Chili is one of my favorite dishes for many reasons which I will now list.

1. It’s delicious.

2. It’s super easy to make.

3. So many varieties! You can make it with beef or chicken or turkey or vegetarian. Such an array of toppings to make everyone in the room happy.

4. It’s so delicious as a leftover.

5. It’s so warm and comforting.

6. It’s delicious!

These are my legs, and I love them. I am not a super-confident person, but I am willing to say that my legs are amazing and beautiful. They have taken me all over the world. Thank you legs!
