A good way to start the day is with a healthy fruit parfait!

The final push for Travis studying for his test! He takes it on Monday, and I’m sure he’ll do great. He was planning on putting in some long hours at the office to study, so I made him some S’more brownie study snacks. Super easy! Make regular brownies and half way through baking add graham crackers, crumbled chocolate bars and marshmallows to the top, resume baking. The best part was how the marshmallows actually roasted in the oven.

Travis and I have matching hand freckles. It’s better than having matching tattoos.

I know it might not seem like my hair is very long in comparison to other girls’ hair, but to me, it is soooo long.

I went to my writing group at Columbus Circle and took this on my walk back to the subway.

I woke up Sunday morning with what felt like a migraine. I’ve never had a morning migraine, and it was confusing, since sleeping usually cures my headaches. Travis grabbed me some advil and rubbed my back until I fell back asleep. I woke up with a migraine-hangover around noon, and it was pouring rain outside. So I ordered in. Waffles with fresh berries and tater tots. Breakfast of winners!!! The waffles smelled like the face of God when I opened the package. I love having delicious food delivered to my sick bed.

On Saturday morning, after showering, I noticed a strange glow on the bedroom floor. I stared at it for a while in disbelief. Is that… sunlight?! Yes, it was. It was a joyous thing. The weather outside was in the high ’50s, so I took a nice, little walk, but I also spent some time just sitting in the sunbeam. It’s March, and the worse of the winter is over. (Knock on wood)

A lot of days I whine to myself about taking good pictures. It’s hard, because I live in the Upper East Side which is like the ‘burbs on Manhattan Island. But I had the same complaint in Reno. I was stuck in the burbs. I can’t take good pictures, because it is winter, because I work all day, because my camera sucks. I’m tired of making excuses. I’m not taking good pictures, because I’m becoming lazy about it, and honestly after months of doing this project, it’s hard to still feel inspired by it, especially when I’ve never considered myself a photographer. So, on this day, to make it up to all my lovely readers (all three of you) I took the afternoon to wander around until I found something interesting, something eye-catching. It was a nice day, and I was happy to walk around and feel buzzed on a caffeine high off way too much green tea. I took this picture on Park Avenue.

Ever since watching “Exit through the Gift Shop,” I’ve been keeping an eye out for street art. This isn’t necessarily art per se, but I found it amusing. Somebody has had enough.
